Introduction

From June 2013 through June 2017, I served as Chief Trading Officer and Managing Director of a quantitative investment firm, Trexquant Investment LP.

From July 2010 through March 2013, I was a Trader at the Global Electronic Trading Company (GETCO), where I was responsible for trading a high-frequency market-making portfolio of cash equities and exchange-traded funds. Prior to GETCO, I had work experience at Bridgewater Associates, MIT Lincoln Laboratory, Northrop Grumman Corporation, and the National Security Agency.

In May 2010, I received my M.B.A. from the Harvard Business School (HBS), where I graduated with High Distinction as a George F. Baker Scholar. In August 2008, I received my Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), where I was a member of Professor Vivek Goyal's Signal Transformation and Information Representation Group (STIR) and Professor Elfar Adalsteinsson's Magnetic Resonance Imaging Group, both of which are part of MIT's Research Laboratory of Electronics (RLE). I earned my M.S. and B.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) from Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) in December 2003.

I am the primary author of five journal articles, four patents, and twelve conference papers in the area of applied signal processing.
